All The Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy

An occasional reader and lover of horses, Malia S., age 14, submitted a wonderful book review I am glad to post!

516Jjc9XDVL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_This romantic, heart racing tale is of a man, John Grady, and his friend, Rawlins, who set off on an long trek in order to reach Mexico. During their journey they meet a boy named Blevins, at first he is just a dumb kid, although he changes their lives forever. Once they reach Mexico, John Grady and Rawlins find work on a small farm and stable. The daughter of the owner of the farm soon becomes fond of John, and John feels the same way about her. Alas, after being accused of a crime, John Grady and Rawlins are taken away. All John wants is to see his love once more. But will he? Is dreaming of her the closest he will get? Even though it may be one last time, he wants to say goodbye. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was written in an older style so in some parts it was a little confusing but besides that I truly loved it!
