Will Tuppence is a typical kid in unusual ways. He loves pizza; as long as it has anchovies and extra sauce. He is a skateboarder; but nurtures his board named “Black Viper” like a baby. He despises his younger sister; until an accident happens that makes him rethink his hatred. Through first love, family matters, and Monopoly games, Will’s freshman year has become much more interesting than expected. Throughout this book, Jerry Spinelli spins his signature humor, with a telltale, beautiful moral. I recommend this novel to teenagers looking for comfy novel to curl up with.
